The Members of ALTAiR |

ERIK ROSENBLADTAKA - "PaRaDoX"Erik is the head synth artist/programmer of ALTAiR. He does most of the songwriting. He also designed this website. Erik has been writing electronic music since 1991.Date of Birth: 12.JUL.1975 Hobbies: Too many to list. Music, of course. Building things, especially electronics. Driving fast. I like being outdoors in the woods or in the industrial side of the city. Debate, calling Casey "old man," drawing stuff. Musical influences: Depeche mode, Tangerine Dream, Information Society, Vangelis, Erasure, The Cure, J.S. Bach, Star Control II (The game that really got me into writing computer music). Also lots of lesser-known groups from Europe, particularly from the Demo coding scene: Purple Motion & Skaven of Future Crew, C.C.Catch of Renaissance, The Flamoots. I would say heavy metal was an influence too. Writing Style: I enjoy making harmonically complicated songs, I start out very simple with a beat or bass line, then slowly add things. Occasionally, I break down the rhythm to reveal a particular section or sound. I like to conclude the song by removing parts until the song is back to its beginning basics. I use a lot of res/cut envelopes and LFOs, as well as lots of arpeggios. The goal of writing is to put the listener in my world, to create visual scenery and make people think about things they normally don't. Quote: "The more you try to prove what you know, the more an idiot you appear to be." |

CASEY ROCHEFORTAKA - "Cage"Cage is the flip-out, semi-psycho, pseudo-normal, beta-rookie-programmer, and brainstorming runner-up of ALTAiR. Does a great deal of the vocals we have. Cage is also a solo artist and can be heard at his myspace page.Spawning Date: 30.Dec.1981 Hobbies: Inflating my own ego, feeding the "id", dotting the "i", doing anything but smoking weed. Music, of course. Musical influences: Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche, Iced Earth, New Order, Motörhead, Hümpmuscle, Joseph Haydn, Herbie Hancock, Slayer, Depeche Mode, W.A.S.P., My father: Jerry Rochefort - A locally renowned tenor, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Cure... Writing Style: My approach to writing a song is generally to build around the rythym. Having a hook is important because I want something that peaks the interest and sticks in your head that I can build a good beat behind. I generally stick to the heavier side of things, as heavy metal is my greatest influence... however my style ends up in almost a pop format (structurally speaking). My lyrics are bred from anything I'm passionate about, but mostly negativity. It's the one safe way to vent all the unfortunate clutter in my head. Quote: "Not many know this... The reflection in the mirror can outstare you..." |

| AARON WALTERS
Date of Birth: 12.May.1980
Musical influences: Gary Numan, Information Society, Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, Yaz, Yello, Harold Faltermeyer, Human League 80’s electropop and obscure stuff is where it’s at for me right now as long as . All electronic. Fuck guitars unless it’s used in industrial or heavy metal.
I call this music..I don’t know what you call it.
Nick names: Other then the usual names like dork, nerd, and loser that I’ve been called my whole life I’ve been given a few other names that I used to go by mainly in the internet. Mad Dog, Spark Plug, and Roapr5150 are the names that have kind of stuck with me over the years..they’re kind of stupid names so people usually just call me Aaron.
Hobbies: Hacking software and breaking electronics. Programming computers and writing HTML code. DJing is also a hobby but rather annoying at times. Photography. Oh yeah, and music. Lol
